A new minivan?

The auto-maker Mercedes-Benz unveiled the new Mercedes V-Class during the 2014 Geneva Motor Show. According to the chief designer Hartmut Sinkwitz, the new Mercedes V-Class is an absolute passenger-car equipped which presents a stylish saloon for discerning families and individualists.

A luxury and comfortable minivan

The V-class is relatively large, and looks even bigger that the other minivans. When you look at the Mercedes V-Class for the first time, you will be immediately seduced by its modern front which hosts full-LED technology headlights with the new Mercedes designed daylight and 16-inch steel big aluminum wheels. Inside, it offers generous space for all occupants. Its access door consists on a sliding door on the right and optionally, on the left of the vehicle. Split in two by a massive piece of trim, the dashboard is swathed in faux leather.

What’s new?

The Mercedes V-Class is a large-capacity vehicle. Its default model measures 202.4 inches in length, with a wheelbase of 126 inches, while the compact and the extra-long versions measures respectively 192.7 and 211.4 inches; with 126 and 135 inches wheelbases. The new van offers also extra glass in the body, six captain's chairs in three rows of two, and lots of luxury kit. Compared to other vans, the V-Class goes with a decent visibility and a good driving position. The performing of Mercedes-Benz V-Class

The new Mercedes-Benz V-Class is available in three versions of the same OM651 2.1-liter four-cylinder turbo-diesel. The V 200 CDI and V 220 CDI come with 6 speed manual gearbox and an optional 7G-Tronic Plus automatic gearbox with Drive Select. Thanks to its 187 horsepower and 354 lb-ft of twist, its top-drawer V250 BlueTec engine reaches 0 to 62 mph in 9.1 seconds, and sprints a top speed of 128 mph.
