Aston Martin Lagonda Limited, more commonly known as « Aston Martin » is one of the iconic manufacturer of luxury vehicles in the world. The company was jointly found in London in 1913 by Lionel Martin and Robert Bamford. For information, Lionel Martin and Robert Bamford sold their company Aston Martin to David Brown Limited in 1947. This last one decided to sell it again to the Livanos family which owned 75% of the company. In 1987, the American giant Ford became its major shareholder in 1987 and acquired the full control of the company in 1993. Aston Martin became the property of a consortium of investors led by Prodrive boss David Richards since 12 march 2007.
